🔒 Zero-Knowledge & Privacy First

PantherCrypt Privacy Policy

Your privacy is mathematically guaranteed. This policy details how PantherCrypt protects your digital vault, how our browser extension operates, and our strict zero-knowledge standards.

Last Updated & Effective: October 2, 2026
🔒

Zero-Knowledge Architecture

Your data is encrypted and decrypted locally on your device. We never possess the cryptographic keys or master password to access your vault.

⚡

Client-Side Cryptography

Vault items (passwords, notes, cards) are converted to ciphertext using AES-256-GCM / Argon2id before leaving your device.

🛡️

No Data Selling or Sharing

We do not sell, rent, monetize, or track your personal information or browsing history. Zero advertising trackers.

🧩

Extension Least-Privilege

The PantherCrypt Chrome extension strictly requests permissions needed for secure autofill and local vault sync.

01Introduction & Zero-Knowledge Architecture

PantherCrypt ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your sensitive credentials and personal data through Zero-Knowledge Cryptography. This Privacy Policy governs your use of the PantherCrypt web application, desktop services, APIs, and the PantherCrypt Chrome Browser Extension.

"Zero-Knowledge" means that neither PantherCrypt, its employees, nor any unauthorized third parties have the technical capability to view, read, or decrypt your stored passwords, cards, notes, or credentials. Your master password and vault encryption keys never leave your client device in unencrypted form.

02Information We Collect and Process

A. Account Registration Information

When creating an account, we collect only essential authentication parameters: your registered email address (for security notifications and auth verification), cryptographic salt, and authentication proofs. Your plaintext master password is NEVER transmitted.

B. Encrypted Vault Data (Zero-Knowledge)

All vault items (logins, passwords, credit card numbers, notes) are encrypted on your device prior to synchronization. We store only encrypted ciphertext blobs (AES-256-GCM). PantherCrypt servers cannot decrypt or read your vault entries.

03PantherCrypt Chrome Extension Disclosures

In full compliance with Google Chrome Web Store Developer Program Policies, we declare the exact usage of requested permissions:

  • storage: Used solely to store encrypted session keys in browser memory and local cache for offline access.
  • activeTab & scripting: Used only to detect login form fields on the active page and fill credentials upon your request.
  • clipboardWrite: Used exclusively when you click "Copy Password" or "Copy Username" in the popup.
  • host_permissions (<all_urls>): Enables password autofill across websites. We do NOT track, record, or transmit browsing history or webpage contents.

04Strict Non-Sale & No-Advertising Policy

We do not sell, rent, monetize, or trade your personal or vault data with third parties, data brokers, or advertising networks. We do not display ads or track your activity across the web.
